These servers play vanilla NS2 with the small SBM balance mod, not the Community Balance Mod. On top of that, server mods fix vanilla bugs and add quality-of-life features, a custom skill rating, mini-games and cosmetics.
The servers#
- NA main server: "no cbm", tuned for performance.
- Shounen #2 (NA): the noob-friendly server. No flaming, no toxicity. A good place for your first games. It runs SBM and the skill system but fewer of the extras.
- EU servers run the same no-CBM setup for European players.
- A queue / fun-mode server sometimes hosts overflow players and events.
Admins can move everyone to another server at once when needed (for example to fill a second server).
Rules#
Type !rules in game. In short:
- Don't troll the server: no smurfing, no giving the enemy hidden information (ghosting), no deliberately ruining rounds.
- No disallowed gameplay: e.g. more ARCs than allowed, or structures hidden completely out of reach.
- Be decent in voice and chat. Shounen in particular is strict about flaming.
More info and appeals are on the Discord: type !discord in game, or visit tinyurl.com/ns2manga.
